It is with regret that we must announce the cancellation of the 2024 Tri-Warriors Youth Triathlon scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 24th. UNCP’s Aquatic center will be closed for renovations, therefore we will not have access to the pool. However, mark your calendar for August 23rd for the 2025 Tri-Warriors Youth Triathlon! Keep tri-ing.

Participant's Guide
Distances for Boys and Girls 6- 15
Age 6-10 Age 11-15
50 yard swim 100 yard swim
3 mile bike ride 6 mile bike ride
1 mile run 2 mile run
Swim: Pool swim on campus (floaties are permitted)
Bike: Bike portion is off campus on a closed road with numerous volunteers and police officers along
the course (younger kids are permitted to use training wheels)
Run: Run course is totally flat, with a portion on the sidewalk. The run is on camp

all interested participants will be allowed to practice swim laps. Lifeguards will be available also to assist swimmers who may need additional training.

Every racer will receive a Triathlon Finisher Medal. Racers will also receive a race bag, t-shirt, swim cap and bib number. In addition, we will award trophies to the top three (3) male and female finishers of each four age groups 6-8 9-10 11-13 14-15
Tri-Warriors Give Back!
The Tri-Warriors Triathlon Club of Pembroke has higher goals than just competing in triathlons. In 2010 we established Robeson County's first-ever Youth Triathlon to not only introduce the sport of triathlon to the youth in our area, but to have a chance to promote a more healthier lifestyle which is in great need in our communities today. The Tri-Warriors Triathlon club recently presented a $7,000 check to Communities in Schools to help fund the Bak Pak Program, a weekend food service for students in need. The funds contributed to the Bak Pak Program resulted from the Tri-Warriors Youth Triathlon which was held on the campus of The University of North Carolina at Pembroke on August 27, 2022. Without the help of our wonderful sponsors, this donation wouldn’t have been possible!
